Alain Klingler is a singer-songwriter and stage director. He has performed in France, Germany, Switzerland, and Quebec. Trained in classical piano from childhood at the Toulon Conservatory, he began composing and writing songs in the 1990s, encouraged notably by Barbara, Romain Didier, and Arthur H. He has since released six albums, including Un Invisible Écrasement (2011), Ce soir la nuit rentrera tard (2018), and 38470 (2023).
Since 2017, he has also formed an onstage duo with Hélène Gratet, with whom he created Chansons d'Écrivains and Et si en plus il n'y a personne (2021).He has also turned to theater, co-writing and directing Je n'ai rien contre le réveillon (Tricycle, Grenoble, 2016), and later Je ne suis pas narcissique, a solo piece for Chloé Mons created at the Théâtre du Gymnase and the Avignon Festival in 2019, revived at the Lucernaire in 2023.
