Born in Rio de Janeiro in 1987, Flora Bonfanti is a writer and the founder of La Sphère. Her work spans literature, philosophy, theatre, and comparative spirituality. After studying in Brazil and later in Paris, she pursued a personal line of inquiry informed by European traditions, Chinese cosmology, and Afro-Brazilian spiritualities.

In her founding text of La Sphère, she reflects on the intellectual and existential upheaval sparked by her encounter with systems of thought radically different from those of Western modernity. It was from this experience that La Sphère was born: a place dedicated to making possible encounters between worldviews, bodies of knowledge, and forms of sensibility.

Now based between Paris and Rio de Janeiro, Flora Bonfanti leads La Sphère as a cultural and spiritual laboratory open to contemporary cross-cultural and intellectual exchanges.
